1.1 IHIS IN3TRUCT10N PROVIDES TkE NECESSARY OPERATOR ACTIONS REOUIRED 70 LOCATE AND ISCLATE THE SOURCE CF A LOSS OF SECCNDARY CCOLANT TO MINIMIIE THE UNCONTROLLED COOLDOWN OF THE PRIMARY PLANT.
1.2 THIS INSTRUCTION CONTAINS TFE ACTIONS REQUIRED TO ESTABL!sH DECAY HEAT REMOVAL FROM THE REACTOR COOLANT SYSTEM VIA THE UNAFFECTED STEAM GENERATORS TO PREVENT THE PRESSURIZER SAFETY VALVES AND POWER OPEF ATED RELIEF VALVES FROM LIFilNG.
1.3 A FEED LINE RUPTURE DOWNSTRE AM OF THE FEEDWATER HEADER f.ANUAL ISOLATION VALVES 11-14 (21-24)BF22 WILL HAVE THE SAME CHARACTERISTICS AS A STEAM LINE RUPTURE AND WILL BE VIRTUALLY INDISTINGUISHABLE. HOWEVER, IT IS IMPORTANT FOR THE FAULTY STEAM CENERATOR TO BE IDENTIFIED AND ISOLATED RAPIDLY TO PRECLUCE A Los! 0F FEEDWATER FLOW TC ALL STEAM GENERATORS THROUGH THE SINGLE LINE FAILURE.
