UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION WASHINGTON, D.C. 20555-0001 March 22, 2017 Mr. Bryan C. Hanson Senior Vice President Exelon Generation Company, LLC President and Chief Nuclear Officer (CNO)

Exelon Nuclear 4300 Winfield Road Warrenville, IL 60555

SUBJECT:

QUAD CITIES NUCLEAR POWER STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2 - CORRECTION LETTER TO RENEWED FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE NOS. DPR-29 AND DPR-30 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION PAGE (CAC NOS. MF5738 AND MF5739)

Dear Mr. Hanson:

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission recently issued Amendment Nos. 264 and 259 to Renewed Facility Operating License Nos. DPR-29 and DPR-30 for Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station (QCNPS), Units 1 and 2, respectively (Agencywide Document Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML16218A485, dated October 20, 2016). The license amendment package included several revised technical specification (TS) pages, one of which included a typographical error on QCNPS TS page 3.2.3-2 which sets forth the requirements for SR 3.2.3.2, "Determine the LHGR limits." Specifically, the reference to LHGR was misspelled (i.e.,

LGHR). The proposed TS submitted in the license amendment request included a correctly spelled SR 3.2.3.2. This error occurred in the administrative processing of the license amendment and was identified by a member of your staff during reviews in preparation for the upcoming unit outage.

This correction does not alter the context or change any of the NRC staff conclusions as documented in the safety evaluation nor does it change information previously noticed to the public.

An example of the corrected TS page (Enclosure) will be reflected in the appropriate QCNPS Authority File located publicly under ADAMS Accession No. ML053040348. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have created.

B. Hanson If there are any questions regarding this matter, please call me at (301) 415-1129.
