WATTS BAR NUCLEAR PLANT (WBN) UNIT 2 - INSTRUMENTATION AND CONTROLS STAFF INFORMATION REQUESTS The purpose of this letter is to provide documents that TVA has committed to provide in response to NRCs information requests received during a teleconfernce held on December 8, 2011, between NRC, TVA and Westinghouse Electric Company to discuss the WBN Unit 2 incore instrumentation system. Specifically, TVA made the following commitment:

TVA Commitment TVA and Westinghouse Electric Company (WEC) will provide a summary report on dielectric strength testing of the In-Core Instrument Thimble Assembly (IITA), Mineral Insulated (MI) cable connector, 1-2 transition assembly, and the MI cables. The summary is to include a sketch identifying the individual components.

Commitment Closure contains the WEC proprietary version of WBT-D-3753 P-Enclosure, Clarification of Dielectric Withstand Testing in Response to WNA-CN-00157-WBT Watts Bar 2, dated January 2012. This WEC document provides the summary report on dielectric strength testing of the MI cable assemblies that addresses this NRC request. contains WEC non-proprietary version of WBT-D-3753 NP-Enclosure, Clarification of Dielectric Withstand Testing in Response to WNA-CN-00157-WBT Watts Bar 2, dated January 2012.
