Dear Professor Noe:

I do not have an answer to your question; however, I have asked someone to find out if any audio recordings are available. As soon as I hear back from that person, I will let you know.

In the meantime, transcripts of the past Indian Point proceedings are available at:

by selecting the Indian_PT_2&3_50-247&50-286-LR folder, then selecting the Indian PT Transcripts folder, then selecting the 2012 Transcripts folder. In that folder, you will find several pdf files containing the transcripts of various meetings, telephone conferences, and hearings in which the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board Panel participated. If you look in the column labeled Document Date, you will see files with dates of late October 2012these are the transcripts from the first two weeks of hearings that took place in Tarrytown, NY, during the weeks of October 15th and 22nd, 2012.

I realize that reading through transcripts is a lot more cumbersome than listening to or viewing a hearing, but maybe these will be of some use to your students.

Also, they can view the continuation of the hearing in person during the week of December 10th, in Tarrytown, NY.

As soon as I find out if there are archived audio or video files, Ill let you know.

Indian Point License Renewal Hearing

Dear Professor Noe:

I am responding to your recent inquiry regarding the hearing schedule for the Indian Point Nuclear Generating Unit Nos. 2 and 3 license renewal application.

Currently, the hearing is scheduled to continue on November 28, 2012 at 9:00 am at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission in Rockville, MD. Members of the public may listen via a bridge line. For your convenience, I have attached a copy of the Order from the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board Panel that contains the phone number and pass code for the non-speaking bridge line.

The hearing will again commence on Monday, December 10 and continue through Friday, December 14, 2012 (as needed), at the Doubletree (hotel) in Tarrytown, NY. A time has not yet been set for the commencement of the hearing on Monday. The NRC staff anticipates a 9:00 am start, but that is subject to an order from the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board Panel. More information, as it becomes available, can be obtained from our web site at:
