ACCEPTANCE FOR REVIEW OF "ELECTRIC POWER RESEARCHINSTITUTE MOTOR-OPERATED VALVE PERFORMANCE PREDICTION METHODOLOGY SOFTWARE" (TAC NO. MD3236)

Dear Mr. Riley:

By letter dated June 8, 2004, as supplemented by letter dated January 6, 2006, the NuclearEnergy Institute submitted for U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff review Addenda 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 to Electric Power Research Institute Topical Report (TR)-103237 "Motor-Operated Valve Performance Prediction Methodology Software." The NRC staff has performed an acceptance review of the TR-103237-R2 and Software Version. We have found that the material presented is sufficient to begin our comprehensive review. The NRC staff expects to issue its request for additional information by February 23, 2007, and issue its draft safety evaluation by June 15, 2007.
