OF TELEPHONE CONFERENCE CALL HELD ON APRIL 27, 2009, BETWEEN THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION AND ENTERGY NUCLEAR OPERATIONS, INC., CONCERNING REQUESTS FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION PERTAINING TO THE INDIAN POINT NUCLEAR GENERATING UNIT NOS. 2 AND 3, LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION -

OPEN ITEMS The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the staff) and representatives of Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc., (Entergy or the applicant) held a telephone conference call on April 27, 2009, to discuss the staffs requests for additional information (RAIs) concerning certain open items identified in the Safety Evaluation Report with Open Items Related to the License Renewal of Indian Point Nuclear Generating Unit Nos. 2 and 3.

By letter dated April 3, 2009, the staff transmitted follow-up RAIs to Entergy for several structural-related open items. Entergy requested a phone call with the staff to obtain additional clarification on the staffs request prior to its transmittal of formal responses. The telephone conference call was useful in helping the applicant understand the staffs requests.

The enclosure provides a listing of the participants.

The applicant had an opportunity to comment on this summary.
