(NSPM) has participated in the essential work of developing industry guidance for implementation of the new Fatigue Management Rule.

As part of this effort, we have participated in the development and have reviewed the industry comments provided to your staff from NEI "Comments on Draft Regulatory Guide Mi-5026 Fatigue Management for Nuclear Power Plant Personnel" dated October 30,2008. The NEI comments are in line with the industry developed and accepted guidance contained in NEI 06-1 1, Rev. 1 which is being submitted to your staff for endorsement.
