Dear Mr. Sunseri:
The purpose of this letter is to notify you that U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Region IV staff will conduct the augmented inspection team follow
-up inspection at your Wolf Creek Generating Station.
  The inspection will be comprised of one senior resident, one resident and two regional reactor inspector
s from the NRC Region
IV office.  The inspection will be conducted in accordance with Inspection Procedure
93800 and multiple reactor oversight process baseline inspection procedures.
The schedule for the inspection is as follows:
  In-office preparation
:  May 21 - 25, 2012  Onsite inspection
:  May 28 - June 1, 2012
Experience has shown that this inspection is resource intensive both for the NRC inspectors and your staff.
  In order to minimize the impact to your onsite resources and to ensure a productive inspection, we have enclosed a request for documents needed for this inspection.  Please note that the documents
are requested to be provided by May 14, 2012.  We request that during the onsite inspection week, you ensure that copies of analyses, evaluations, or
documentation regarding the root cause of the failures of the main generator output breaker and the startup transformer
are available.  Also, appropriate personnel knowledgeable
of each of the unresolved items documented in Inspection Report 0500482/2012008
should be available to support the inspector s at the site during the inspection.
