Hello - I am not sure I have the correct address for

subitting this comment, so I am submitting it here:

Dear NRC,

Regarding the Indian Point Power Plant - here's the environmental concern: This plant creates deadly

radioactive waste which causes cancer and kills people and there is nowhere to put it.

It was a grave mistake to even build the Indian Point plant in the first place. Aside from the fact

that it is now in disrepair and a target for terrorists, the extremely deadly, toxic waste it has created will

never go away and there is nowhere to store it.

Nothing can be done with it. Even if Yucca Mountain

opens up as a storage facility, no one is going to

allow the transportation of this waste through their

towns. It is silly and stupid to continue to allow

this plant to create even more deadly waste which

can never be gotten rid of. Millions of lives are at

stake. To sum up: deadly stuff is being created at Indian Point and there is nowhere to put it. It is a tragic, horrible, sad, scary nightmare of a problem and it is

getting worse every day.

Please, please, please stop being so foolish and crazy. Shut it down.

Thanks, Al Hemberger
