| The reactor remained shutdown with no fuel onsite throughout 2008. The reactor was permanently shutdown on 11/5/2001. All fuel was transferred to the USGS TRIGA facility during June of 2002. The fission chambers used in the reactor's nuclear instrumentation system were transferred to USGS during December 2002. The reactor's Am-Be neutron sources were removed from the reactor facility and transferred to the Department of Energy's Off-Site Source Recovery Program on 7/24/2003 Unscheduled Shutdowns The reactor was maintained in a scheduled se'cured shutdown condition throughout 2008. | | The reactor remained shutdown with no fuel onsite throughout 2008.
