Unit 2 Docket No. STN 50-529 License No. NPF-51 Licensee Event Report 9840240 Attached please find Licensee Event Report (LER) 98-002-00 prepared and submitted pursuant to 10 CFR 50.73. This LER reports a Technical Specification (TS) violation due to improperly performed shiftly channel checks for the Core Protection Calculators (CPC) following a CPC data link failure that remained undetected over four shifts. As an action to prevent recurrence, APS has committed to changing the applicable procedures to ensure that data anomalies or error messages on the computer printouts for CPC are detected.
