I have enclosed a copy of an affidavit.from Ms. Patty Miriello dated September 6, 1985, which is forwarded for your information 4

and action.

l In addition,.I am also enclosing a copy of a memorandom from B.

Jones, Regional Counsel, Region II, which involves details of some activity which occurred during the ASLB hearing.. You should

' note'that the information in the affidavit is being handled in the hearing; however, Ms. Miriello indicated both.during testimony and in a. conversation with B. Jones that she had additional information regarding drug abuse activity.

We are not aware of what her addi-tional information pertains to and you are requested to contact Ms.

Miriello to ascertain what her additional information relates to inasmuch as you have been in contact with her.

Also, in the last paragraph of B. Jones' memo, he advises that wit-nesses for the state of North Carolina indicated that additional

" intelligence" available to them indicates widespread drug use in-volving Harris workers, but no further details were provided at.the hearing.

During your liaison with local law enforcement officials on this matt ~er, you are requested to attempt to determine the nature of the additional information.

Please keep the Region informed of your actions in this matter.
