On December 21, 1983, Georgia Power Company (GPC) submitted two separate requests for changes to the Plant Hatch Technical Specifications.- One of these letters proposed changes to the Unit 2 requirements for usage of the -

i Traversing Incore Probe (TIP) system; . the other letter proposed changes to the restrictions . for operation of the Hydrogen (H 2) and Oxygen. (02 )

Analyzers in both Hatch units. On February 6, 1984, GPC. submitted a proposal to change the Unit 1 Technical Specification operability limit for the High Pressure Coolant Injection '(HPCI) system and the Reactor Core Isolation Cooling -(RCIC) system. Each ~ of . these submittals contained a i

significant hazards evaluation as required by 10 CFR 50.92 (Attachment 3 to the . HPCI/RCIC and TIP submittals; Attachments 4 and . 5 to the H2 and 02 analyzer submittal).

l- Recently,- GPC revised its methodology for conducting significant hazards l reviews for-Technical Specification change proposals. As a result of this, l GPC has rewritten the wording . submitted to~ the NRC by - the above three letters. None of the revised reviews results in a change to the conclusionsi drawn in the original submittals. The four attachments enclosed with this letter should be used to replace the. appropriate attachments to- these l - previous submittals.- Note that the attachment mmbers and titles at .the: top l' of ' the . erclosures to -this letter coincide with the headings used in the' previous subaittals.
