ILnPmved Standard Technical Specifications Submiltal Revision Gentlemen:

By letter dated February 25, 1994, GPC proposed to conven the current Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear Plant Technical Specifications to the Improved Technical Specifications consistent with NUREG 1433. Attached is a partial revision to the February 25 amendment request. The attachmot includes page change insertion instructions This revision is the result of meetings and discussions with the NRC staff, resolution ofindustry generic issues, and additional analysis to suppon a change in the drywell pressure limiting condition for operation. Any revisions to, or auditional no significant hazards evaluations, are also provided. The Environmental Assessment provided in the February 25,1994 submittal remains valid.

In accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.91, a copy of this letter and all applicable athhments will be sent to the designated State official of the Environmental Protection Division of the Georgia Depenment of Natural Resources.
