Dear Mr. Nelson:
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is reviewing an application submitted by Union Electric Company, a subsidiary of Ameren Corporation and doing business as Ameren Missouri (Ameren), for the renewal of the operating license for Callaway Plant, Unit 1 (Callaway).
Callaway is located in Callaway County, approximately 10 miles southeast of Fulton, Missouri.
The application for renewal was submitted by Union Electric Company in a letter dated December 15, 2011. pursuant to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 54 (10 CFR Part 54).
