This notification is required by 10CFR72.212, "Conditions of general license issued under § 72.210", paragraph (b)(1)(ii), which states that the general licensee shall "Register use of each cask with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission no later than 30 days after using that cask to store spent fuel".
