Bennett, In response to your question on HC outage OE, please see the following summary from our Project Buried Piping guy:

Both SW inspections, located at the service water intake structure and RX building, were performed last fall (2010). Both pipes were found coated w/ coating in good to excellent condition. The coatings were removed on each to expose the bare metal. The exposed metal surfaces of the pipes were also in excellent condition.

John, In your October 29 letter, LR-N10-0371, it said The configuration of the approximately 12 linear feet of 36 inch diameter carbon steel Service Water System piping is externally coated but not provided with cathodic protection. As described in the PSEG response to RAI B.2.1.24, Hope Creek plans to

inspect two of the four buried pipe segments which make up the 12 linear feet during the next refueling outage in the fall of 2010.
