Open Item (133) for the Watts Bar, Unit 2 (WBN-2)
Justin/Siva, DE still have an Open Item (133) for the Watts Bar, Unit 2 (WBN-2), SSER 24, Section 2.4.1 0, that requires the NRC staff to review the TVA calculation on the stability of sand basket used at the Fort Loudoun Dam.
However, TVA is committed to implement permanent modifications to prevent overtopping of the embankments of the Fort Loudoun dam due to the Probable Maximum Flood. This is recorded in the TVA's letter to NRC dated April25, 2014 (ML14122A219). In addition, TVA is also revising the Commitment 14 of letter from the NRC to TVA, "Confirmatory Action Letter- Watts Bar Nuclear Plant, Unit 1, and Sequoyah Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2, Commitments to Address External Flooding Concerns (TAC NOS. ME8805, ME8806, and ME8807),"
dated June 25, 2012 (ADAMS Accession No. ML12165A527), to extend the implementation date to February 1, 2017. Therefore, the Open Item (133) is no longer needed.

Thanks, Dan 1
