SUPPLEMENT TO REQUEST FOR AMENDMENT SALEM GENERATING STATION UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 FACILITY OPERATING LICENSES DPR-70 AND DPR-75 DOCKET NOSo 50-272 AND 50-311 In accordance with the requirements of 10CFR50.90, Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) hereby transmits a supplement to the request for amendment of Facility Operating Licenses DPR-70 and DPR-75 for Salem Unit Nos. 1 and 2. Pursuant to the requirements of 10CFR50.91(b)

(1), a copy of this request for amendment has been sent to the State of New Jersey. This submittal supplements the changes proposed in PSE&G letter NLR-N93077 dated June 11, 1993. In order to make the Technical Specification changes consistence with Standard Technical Specifications and to keep Unit 1 and Unit 2 Technical Specification similar, mathematical symbols were provided for the word " greater than or equal to". However, some symbols were inadvertently reversed in several places. We have identified these editorial corrections.

Action Statements (a) and (b) of Salem Unit 1 and Unit 2 Technical Specifications 3.10.1, and the Action Statements of Unit 2 Technical Specifications 3.1.1.1, 3.1.1.2 and 3.9.1 are being revised to change 11::;11 to This proposed change is consistent with the "Description of Change" stated in Attachment 1 of PSE&G's letter dated June 11, 1993. Attachment 1 contains all the marked-up Technical Specification pages (with the editorial corrections) affected by the proposed changes in our letter dated June 11, 1993. (-* 9308120013
