MILLSTONE POWER STATION, UNIT NO. 3 - INDIVIDUAL NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE AND FINAL DETERMINATION OF NO SIGNIFICANT HAZARDS CONSIDERATION

Dear Mr. Christian:

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has forwarded the enclosed ANotice of Issuance of Amendment to Facility Operating License and Final Determination of No Significant Hazards Consideration," to the Office of the Federal Register for publication.

Amendment No. 242, dated August 12, 2008, to Facility Operating License No. NPF-49 issued to Dominion Nuclear Connecticut, increased the Millstone Power Station, Unit No. 3 maximum steady-state reactor core power level from the previous licensed thermal power level of 3,411 megawatts thermal to 3,650 megawatts thermal, which is an increase of approximately 7 percent. This issuance is based on your initial application for amendment dated July 12, 2007.

Notice of Issuance will be included as an Individual Notice of Issuance in the Federal Register and then repeated in the Commission's biweekly Federal Register notice. If you have any questions, please contact me at 301-415-3100.
