Gentlemen:

By letter dated December 10, 2013, the NRC transmitted Inspection Report 50-482/2013403, for the Wolf Creek Generating Station. In the Inspection report, the NRC identified an Apparent Violation (AV) that has preliminarily been determined to have low to moderate safety significance (white). The letter provided Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation (WCNOC) with the opportunity to request a regulatory conference or submit a WCNOC position in writing.

WCNOC appreciates the opportunity to meet with the NRC on this issue and by this letter requests a regulatory conference to present WCNOC additional facts and information for the NRC to consider in determining the risk significance of this AV. This request was also verbally communicated to Mr. Mark Haire on 12/19/2013.
