Subject:

Notification of Readiness for 92702, "Follow-up on Corrective Actions for Violations and Deviations" River Bend Station - Unit 1 Docket No. 050-458 License No. NPF-47

Reference:

Letter from NRC to Entergy Operations, Inc. (E.W. Olson), "Confirmatory Order, Notice of Violation, and Civil Penalty - NRC Special Inspection Report 05000458/2014407 and NRC Investigation Report 4-2012-022- River Bend Station" dated December 3, 2014, (EA-14-009)

The letter referenced above transmitted a Confirmatory Order to Entergy Operations, Inc.

(Entergy) confirming the commitments made by Entergy during an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADA) mediation session on September 22, 2014. These commitments were a part of a settlement agreement between Entergy and the NRC. The settlement agreement concerns an apparent violation involving the willful actions of an unidentified security officer which occurred at Entergy's River Bend Station on March 18, 2012.

River Bend has taken the actions agreed upon in the Confirmatory Order and requests the NRC conduct Inspection Procedure 92702, "Follow-up on Corrective Actions for Violations and Deviations". We propose the week of August 29 as a suitable time to accommodate the requirements of this inspection. In the event that NRC cannot support an inspection on this date, we cari accommodate this activity during the week of September 12.

This letter contains no regulatory commitments. If you have any questions on this matter, please contact Tim Schenk at 225-381-4177.
