No: I-15-019 April 21, 2015 CONTACT: Diane Screnci, 610-337-5330 Neil Sheehan, 610-337-5331 NRC to Conduct Webinar April 27 on Annual Assessment for Oyster Creek Nuclear Power Plant The Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff will present a webinar for interested members of the public on Monday, April 27, regarding the agencys annual assessment of safety performance at the Oyster Creek nuclear power plant.
It is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. Participants will be able to view slides prepared by NRC staff and ask questions in writing via a web page set up to host the session. Online registration is required to take part. Advance registration is required.
The purpose of the webinar is to provide information on the Lacey Township (Ocean County),
N.J., plants safety performance in 2014 and the NRCs oversight activities at the facility.
This webinar will be in addition to a public meeting we plan to hold in late May near the plant to discuss the plants performance, NRC Region I Administrator Dan Dorman said. We hope it will provide another means by which the public can learn about this subject, particularly those who are unable to attend the upcoming meeting.
Details on the May 28 public meeting will be provided in an upcoming notice.
