TO DISCUSS AGENCYS OVERSIGHT OF OYSTER CREEK NUCLEAR PLANT Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, June 6, in Toms River, N.J., to discuss the NRCs oversight of the Oyster Creek nuclear power plant.

The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Toms River, at 290 Route 37 East in Toms River.

On March 28, the NRC staff conducted an open house in Stafford Township regarding the plants performance in 2011 (http://pbadupws.nrc.gov/docs/ML1208/ML120800451.pdf ).

However, the agency subsequently agreed to provide another opportunity for public interaction, leading to the scheduling of the June 6 session.

Oyster Creek is located in Lacey Township (Ocean County), N.J. It is the site of a single boiling-water reactor, which is owned and operated by Exelon Generation Co., LLC.
