NRC Presentation to the Quorum Court of Pope County, Arkansas of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's 2022 Annual Assessment of Safety Performance at Arkansas Nuclear One Date(s) and Time(s): May 04, 2023, 05:30 PM to 07:30 PM CT Location: Pope County Courthouse 100 West Main Street Russellville, AZ Category: This is an Information Meeting with a Question and Answer Session. The purpose of this meeting is for the NRC staff to meet directly with individuals to discuss regulatory and technical issues. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments about the issues discussed throughout the meeting; however, the NRC is not actively soliciting comments towards regulatory decisions at this meeting.

Purpose:

Members of the NRC staff will present the NRC's assessment of safety performance at Arkansas Nuclear One for 2022, as described in the 2022 annual assessment letter. The NRC staff will make this presentation at a meeting of the Quorum Court of Pope County, Arkansas. The NRC staff will be available to respond to questions from the public outside the Quorum Court meeting about the safety performance of the station and the role of the NRC and the resident inspectors in ensuring safe plant operations
