Response to NuScale Topical Report Audit Question Question Number: A-NonLOCA.LTR-12 Receipt Date: 11/20/2023 Question:

Provide the following documents in eRR related to NIST-2 testing:

The audit question requests the following six items, identified by the question number and text as being related to NIST-2 testing for the non-LOCA topical report, be placed in the electronic reading room (eRR): (( }}2(a),(c),ECI NuScale Nonproprietary NuScale Nonproprietary

For items 1 through 4, the documents are assessments for testing that was performed to support the validation of NRELAP5 for the LOCA topical report (i.e., not the non-LOCA topical report). The tests were performed at the NIST-1 facility (i.e., they are not NIST-2 tests). In addition, the validation supported the LOCA topical report revision (i.e., TR-0516-49422-P-A, Rev. 2) that has already been approved by the NRC during the review of the design certification application (DCA) for the US600. The validation is still included as part of the LOCA topical report revision currently under review by the NRC (i.e., Rev. 3) for the standard design approval application (SDAA) for the US460. Therefore, items 1 through 4 are not provided in the non-LOCA eRR for NRC audit at this time. Items 5 and 6 are the same document; EC-127301 is the NRELAP5 assessment against the NIST-2 non-LOCA ((

}}2(a),(c) The revision of EC-127301 requested in this audit question (i.e., Rev. 0), is the revision that was available at the time the SDAA was submitted. However, Rev. 0 contains information for only Run 1 of the NIST-2 non-LOCA testing. Other test runs, such as Runs 2 and 3 that have been included in markups to the non-LOCA topical report, are documented in later revisions of EC-127301. Therefore, the current revision of EC-127301 (i.e., Rev. 2) is provided in the non-LOCA eRR for NRC audit instead of the requested revision (i.e., Rev. 0).
