Response to SDAA Audit Question Question Number: A-3.4.2-5 Receipt Date: 07/03/2023 Question:

The NuScale DC has COL Item 3.4-7 for a COL applicant to address COL item to address groundwater and foreign material intrusion into the expansion gap. Is this COL item applicable to NuScale SDAA? If not, explain why it is not applicable.

Response

DCA COL Item 03.04-7 is not applicable to the SDAA because the SDAA design eliminated the personnel tunnel between the Reactor Building and the Control Building.

No changes to the SDAA are necessary.
