Response to SDAA Audit Question Question Number: A-3C.7-1 Receipt Date: 07/31/2023 Question:
Section 3C.7, Documentation, states [T]the EQRF [equipment qualification record file]
documents the summaries and results of qualification tests for electrical and mechanical equipment and components. The EQRF provides the auditable documentation that demonstrates that the equipment is environmentally qualified for its application and can accomplish its credited function. The elements of the EQRF include; equipment identification, interfaces, qualified life, credited design functions, and service conditions following the guidance of IEEE Standard 323-1974 (Reference 3C-2) for harsh environment applications and IEEE Standard 323 2003 (Reference 3C-1) for mild environment applications.
Table 3.11-1, List of Environmentally Qualified Equipment Located in Harsh Environments, provides the list of the equipment that will be environmentally qualified for harsh environments.
Are the EQRF of the equipment listed in Table 3.11-1 available for review? If available, please provide the EQRF of the equipment subject to 10 CFR 50.49.
Response
The equipment qualification record files for the equipment listed in the US460 standard design approval application Table 3.11-1 are not in the standard design approval application scope and are to be developed by an applicant as part of COL Item 3.11-3.
No changes to the SDAA are necessary.
