This is a Comment-Gathering Meeting. The purpose of this meeting is for NRC staff to meet directly with individuals to receive comments from participants on specific NRC decisions and actions to ensure that NRC staff understands their views and concerns.

Purpose:

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission will conduct a scoping process to gather information necessary to prepare an environmental impact statement to evaluate the environmental impacts for the license renewal of the operating licenses for Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant, Units 1 and 2. The NRC is seeking public input on this action. This is an in-person only public meeting.

Individuals who wish to provide oral comments during the public comment portion of the meeting will have an opportunity to register upon arrival. To ensure all attendees have the same chance to speak, numbered tickets will be assigned to registered individuals and drawn randomly to determine speaking order.
