Dear Ms. Cindy Montgomery,

This supplement in support of the license amendment request for the Digital Instrumentation and Control Upgrade (EPID L-2020-NF A-0012) contai ns the Functional Requ irements Specification (FRS) for the replacement of the Digital Instrumentation and Control System of the TRIGA Mark-F Research Reactor at the Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute (AFRRI).

This supplemental information contains proprietary information; therefore, there are three versions of the main document: a non-public version that has not been redacted, a non-public version that has been marked for redaction but the redactions have not been applied, and a public version that has been redacted. A fourth enclosure is the affidavit for supporting the treatment of proprietary information. The fifth and last enclosure is an errata sheet that details the differences in the FRS to the as-built condition.

AFRRJ continues to request an expeditious review of th is application and will provide support required to aid in the review. As previously stated the upgraded l&C has been designed so that it is a functional equivalent to the old system. The supplemental information further delineates the upgraded l&C system to provide detailed technical information to document equivalent changes for the new systems.
