In accordance with 10 CFR 50.7l(e), Susquehanna Nuclear, LLC (Susquehanna) hereby submits Revision 70 of the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station (SSES) Updated Final Safety Analysis Report (UFSAR) and Revision 24 of the SSES Fire Protection Review Report (FPRR). This submittal also meets the reporting requirements contained in 10 CFR 50.54(a)(3), 10 CFR 54.37(b), and 10 CFR 71.106(b).
In accordance with 10 CFR 50.4(b)(6), UFSAR, Revision 70 and FPRR, Revision 24 are submitted electronically on a total replacement basis via the enclosed CD-ROMs. includes one CD-ROM with information identified in accordance with Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Regulatory Issue Summary (RIS) 2015-17, "Review and Submission of Updates to Final Safety Analysis Reports, Emergency Preparedness Documents, and Fire Protection Documents," removed. Enclosure 2 contains one CD-ROM with the unredacted files. As such, Susquehanna requests that be withheld from public disclosure in accordance with 10 CFR 2.390(d)(l).
Per direction in Revision 9 of "Guidance for Electronic Submissions to the NRC,"
Attachments 5 and 6 provide a detailed list of what is contained on each CD-ROM.

Document Control Desk PLA-7935 Attachments 1 and 2 contain a list of changes made in the UFSAR and FPRR revisions.
All changes, other than those involving any typographical corrections, format changes, and removed information, were made under the provisions of 10 CFR 50 or in accordance with safety evaluations received from the NRC. identifies information removed in accordance with Appendix A to Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) 98-03, Revision 1, "Guidelines for Updating Final Safety Analysis Reports," as endorsed by NRC Regulatory Guide 1.181, "Content of the Updated Final Safety Analysis Report in Accordance with 10 CFR 50.71(e)."
In addition, pursuant to the requirements of 10 CFR 54.37(b) and the guidance specified in NRC RIS 2007-16, "Implementation of the Requirements of 10 CFR 54.37(b) for Holders of Renewed Licenses," newly identified systems, structures, and components that would have been subject to an aging management review or evaluation oftime-limited gaining analyses in accordance with 10 CFR 54.21 are addressed in.
This letter contains no new or revised regulatory commitments.

Criteria for newly identified SSCs is discussed in RJS 2007-16, "Implementation of the Requirements of 10 CFR 54.37(b) for Holders of Renewed Licenses."
Changes made at SSES Units 1 and 2 were reviewed to identify any newly identified SSCs that should be included in License Renewal scope. This review found no newly identified SSCs subject to 10 CFR 54 since the last 10 CFR 50.71(e) submittal (ADAMS Accession No. ML19317D915).

licensees periodically report a brief description of information removed from the UFSAR and the basis for its removal. The following provides a summary of the information removed from the UFSAR and the basis for removal.
ID Description of Information Removed 5480 Removed description of the chemical addition system storage tanks in accordance with NEI 98-03, Revision 1, Section A4.l. The storage tank size does not provide design information that is important to the description of the facility or presentation of its safety analysis or design basis, design information that would impact plant systems or SSCs if changed, or analytical information important to understanding the safety analysis methodology. This editorial/administrative change was implemented to remove unnecessary information.
5511 Removed description of connection to and heating of portable makeup demineralizer system in accordance with NEI 98-03, Revision 1, Section A4.1. The makeup demineralizer system is not credited in the safety analysis and has no design basis functions. Hose and heater details are not important for the design and operation of the makeup demineralizer system. This editorial/administrative change was implemented to remove unnecessary information.
