Docket Nos. 50-206, 50-361, and 50-362 San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Units 1, 2 and 3 Quarterly Submittal of Safeguards Event Log Entries April 1,.1988 through June 30, 1988 Safeguards Event Log entries, which have not been previously submitted to the NRC Document Control Desk during the subject submittal period, are presented in the enclosure to reet 10 CFR 73.71(c)(2) reporting requirements.

The enclosure, which consists of 15 pages,' contains a total of 82 log entries (numbered 88-054 through 88-135, not in time-sequential order).

Viewed individually, the single and consolidated log entries presented in the enclosure do not contain Safeguards Information. Viewed collectively, they are considered to be Safeguards Information and should be protected against unauthorized disclosure under 10 CFR 73.21.

Detection of a controlled substance.

3. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF COMPENSATORY OR CORRECTIVE ACTIONS TAKEN:

A controlled substance was discovered in the cab of a vehicle delivering plant supplies. The substance was confiscated. The driver was permitted to enter the Protected Area, to deliver the supplies essential to plant operations, under security escort. The driver was subsequently escorted off the site, and his Site access was terminated.

The individual's unescorted access was suspended. Individual refused to submit to an investigatory drug screen test and was tertninated from employment.
