TAC NOS. 60994, 60995, 61745, 61923 AND 6E561 On October 29 and 30, 1987, representatives of the licensee and the NRC, staff met in Bethesda, Maryland, to discuss a number of issues which have arisen in conjunction with the licensee's Appendix R reappraisal effort.
A list of-attendees at the meeting is enclosed.
The lic6nsee discussed the status of fire protection related plant i
radi fications.
All work assocnited with Appendix R is to be completed prior
'to startup from the sixth refueling outage.
Certain modifications which 'tne 3'1'icensee has identified as enhancements will be completed beyond the sixth l
l7 refueling outage.
The staff stated that if these modifications are necessary to meet the provisions of Appendix A to BTP APCSB 9.5-1, then a more l
expeditious schedule must be negotMated.
Further discussion on this matter will be necessary after the licensee's Appendix A comparison is submitted on Jcnuary 4, 1988.

The staff f resented the results of tneir; preliminary review of the licensee's
- 1 proposed Technical Specification amendment dated May 20, 1987. The staff cannct approve this amendment as is.
The licensee committed to revise the

proposal to be consistent with the standard Technical Specifications.

revis a amendment is to pe' submitted no later than November 13, 1987, to support' approval by Dgcomoer 31, 1987.
The staff also discussed tre results of their evaluation of Revision 2 of the Compliance Assessment Report, FHAR Revision 6, the,,lanuary 12, 1987, exemption requests and the current versiofof the post-fire Wety shutdown procedures.
