Perkins . j As you are aware NRC'is not authorized to directly fund any remediali action plans for this site.- Since Kentucky is an Agreement State, any requirements needed to be imposed to protect the public health and safety should be issued by the Kentucky Department of Human Resources in its capacity as the State agency responsible for regulating radiological safety.

NRC will be pleased to continue to provide technical assistance to the State as appropriate.
