RELEASE OF OFFICE OF INVESTIGATION REPORT NO. 1-85-019:

PEACH BOTTOM ATOMIC POWER STATION / ALLEGED THREATS TO EMPLOYEES TO PREVENT DISCLOSURE TO NRC Pursuant to the request of S. Collins, Chief. Proiects Branch No. 2, DRP, and my discussions with J. Gutierrez, Regional Attorney and J. Allan, Deputy Regional Administrator, I have reviewed the subject Report to detennine if confidential infontation and infonnation that may affect any ongoing 01 investigation should be deleted. I found that this Report does not contain such infomation. However, I have not reviewed the Report for proprietary and personal data as I do not believe that this office has the expertise to address this area. I recommend that, prior to transmission of the Report to the licensee or placing the Report in the Public Document Room, the Region ensure that an appropriate review be conducted for proprietary and personal data that, by law, should be excised from the Report.

Addittor. ally, I reconrend that any release of the Report by the Region not include exhibits to the Report.

Further, I suggest that in the. future, if such a request is considered, that early coordination with the NRC FOIA office to ensure that the Report is properly excised.
