PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO 10 CFR 50.55a," CODES AND STANDARDS" AEOD staff have reviewed the proposed amendment to 10 CFR 50.55a," Codes and Standards," transmitted in your July 7,1997, memorandum. Our comments of January ic 1997, on the preceding draft proposed amendment suggested the rule should be restructured. We believe this current proposed amendment is a constructive response to the suggestion.
In an effort to expedite comment resolution, my staff provided. detailed comments on July 24, 1997, in the form of marked-up pages to W. Norris of your staff. Those comments were intended for clarification and understanding, and included revisions so that explanations in the statement of consideration read sequentially with the proposed rule. We concur with the proposed amendment.
