. OFFICE CONCURRENCE ON THE FINAL RULE ENTITLED "lNDUSTRY CODES AND STANDARDS; AMENDED REQUIREMENTS"(10 CFR PART 50; RIN 3150 AE26)

The Office of Administration concurs on the final rule that amends the regulations concerning industry codes and standards to incorporate by reference more recent editions and addenda of

- the ASME Boiler and Pressure Code and the ASME Code for Operation and Maintenance for construction, inservice inspection, and inservice testing. We have attached a marked copy of the final rule package rule that presents our comments.

We have provided a revised Summary statement that complies with the requirements of the Office of the Federal Register (OFR)in 1 CFR 18.12. We have also adjusted the amendatory language and the presentation of codified text to conform to OFR publication requirements.

We have provided the standard statements necessary to indicate compliance with the National Technology Transfer and Advancement Act of 1995 and the Small Business Regulatory Enforcement Act of 1996 (SBREFA). Please note that the NRC's determination as to whether -

this action is a " major rule" as defined by SBREFA must be approved by the Office of Management and Budget before the final rule may be submitted for publication. In addition, the forms necessary to inform both Houses of Congress and the General Accounting Office of this final rule must be included with the standard notification letters prepared for our oversight committees.
