Burndy Husky Po #0579A 2.0 GENER%L 2.1 PURPOSE AND SCOPE 2.1.1 PURPOSE The purpose of this procedure is to describe the responsibilities and tasks of the Unit 1 Cable Tray Selected Attributes Walkdown Group. This procedure describes the method and sequence for the l7 performance and documentation of the field verification.

_ 2.1.2 SCOPE The scope of this procedure encompasses all of Unit 1 designated tray and supports. The intent being to gather sufficient information to enable the qualification of splice plates by testing and/or calculation. Although this scope covers the whole of Unit 1, the gathering of information shall cease when DVG has sufficient information in their possession to initiate splice plate qualification. The specific attributes to be walked down are as follows:

A. Classification of hinged fittings.

D. Attachments to cable tray from other systems.

C. The type of splice plates used on tray connections.

D. Measure gaps between tray segments.

E. Identify tray type and vendor.

O l

TU0C0 Engineering TI-FVM-CS-048 Rev.0 December 31, 1983 1 page 3 i "As-Builting" - the process of acquiring information of the actual installed condition of certain specified attributes and reflecting this information on an "as-built" sketoh. r f P "As-Designed" - refers to a configuration shown on a  !

specific drawing which reflects the intent of the engineer who designed i the specific support. The "as-designed" configuration represents a  :

baseline configuration from which i the actual installed configuration l can deviate within prescribed,  !

acceptable (by engineering)  !

tolerance and/or component i substitutions.

Final "As-Built" - drawings issued by engineering after j design verification and completion -

of required modifications. j l

" Inaccessible" - attribute which cannot be measured or identified without physical  !

removal of any portion of the cable l tray, fire protection cover and/or  ;

relocation of adjacent hardware. i "043 8 tamped" - indicates a document which is issued for " office and Engineering Use j only".

l 2.5 PREPARATION FOR WALMDOWN i

) 2.5.1 The Walkdown Group Supervisor shall initiate and coordinate the walkdown, prepare the work packages, and develop the required sketches and engineering data required by this procedure. The ,

work packages shall be prepared utilizing the following

documents:

A. Copies of Unit I Cable Tray Hanser Span Length Drawings l (11x17) shall be utilised by the Walkdown Engineer to record  ;

] splice plate types, saps and other verifiable attributes j i outlined in this procedure.  ;

i l

S. Cable tray support plan drawings. (see Attachment 4)

(For Information) j C. Additional documents - to be added by the Walkdown Group i j Supervisor in order to facilitate "as-builting".

I i 2.5.2 The Walkdown Group Supervisor shall ensure that work permits (if

) required) are obtained for the walkdown and scaffolding is l provided.

2.6 SILICTED ATTRIBUTIE TO RI VIRIFIED l

l The Walkdown Engineer shall red-line the required attributes on l a copy of Unit I CTH span Length Sketches and/or separate

! attachments. After the red-line process is complete, the l Walkdown Engineers will sign and date the copy of the red-line l sketch. The Unit 1 span mark-up shall end by including the l first, Unit 2 CTH encountered in a tray run as applicable.

TUGCO Engineering TE-FVM-CS-048, Rev.0 December 31, 1986 page 6 2.7 PREPARATION OF FINAL AS-BUILT SKETCHES 2.7.1 After completion of the as-built walkdown, the red-line Information shall be transferred from the field sketch copy to its corresponding CTH span length drawing. Each dimension

  • and/or attribute shall be checked for accurate transfer by the Walkdown Engineer. Separate attachments (11 X 17 Shts) required to complete the sketch package shall be appropriately identified-and remain with the work package.

A. The redlined Unit'l CTH span length sketches will reference general notes and splice plate detail on sketch CTH-1-SLSA-0001 (Unit 1).

Attachments to r'edlined CTH span length sketches will be numbered as follows:

CTH-1-SLSA-XXXX Sheet of .

2.8 RECORDS Copies of the completed and checked CTH span length' sketch redlines and any additional engineering data shall be transmitted, via written transmittal, to the Design Verification Group for analysis of the system and incorporation into the calculation package.

The Walkdown Group Supervisor shall transmit, via written transmittal to TE EA at the conclusion of the program, copies of the document package described in Sections 2.7.1 and 2.7.1.A of this procedure in accordance with Reference 1.0.1-A.
