BEAVER VALLEY UNITS 1 AND 2 - GENERIC LETTER 83-28. ITEM 2.2.1 EQUIPMENT CLASSIFICATION FOR ALL OTHER SAFETY-RELATED COMPONENTS (TAC #S 53652 AND 62952) -
By letters dated November 4,1983 and May 4,1987, you responded to the subject ' tem for Unit 1; by letter dated March 30, 1984, you addressed the same item for Unit 2.
Our review of your responses is complete and is documented in the enclosed safety evaluation. We found your resolution of this issue acceptable for both units.
It i our understandirig, through your letter of July 29, 1986, that the requirements of the subject item have been implemented at Unit l'since March 1985. Through verbal comunication with Mr. Gary Beatty of your staff, we understand that the item has also been implemented at Unit 2.
On this basis, there is no need for us to track any future implementation.
This completes cur efforts on item 2.2.1 fur both units.
