INQUIRY FROM ROBERT A. DOWNS RELATING TO THE ANNOUNCED NP LEAR PIANT BY THE PUBLIC SERVICE CO. OF NEW HAMPSHIRE, DATED JUNE 18, 1968 l
The Region I office chose to respond to the attached by phone.
I finally made contact with Mr. Downs at his residence in Newington, N. H. (603-436-1389) at approx-imately 8:30 PM, June 25, 1968.
The substance of the con-f l
versation, the tone of which was congenial throughout, was as follows:

Mr. Downs was told that there were no AEC Regulations and per se relating to his specific area of concern, that he should more appropriately direct his inquiry

to the Public service Co. of New Hampshire, or to the land condemnation agencies involved.

Mr. Downs stated that he had had this understanding, i.e., no regulations; howcVer, he said that the Public Service Co. of Now Hampshire told him that they had to l
purchase the subject land that included his property for a buffer zone, and that this was in accordance with AEC requirements.
