Division of Compliance USAEC 376 Hudson Street New York, N. Y. 10014 Dear Sirst I would appreciate receiving information regarding regulations governing the minimum distance an existing residential dwe11tos can be from a Nuclear Electric Power Plant.
l I have owned a summer cottage in Newington, N. H. for the past 10 years, and have recently been informed by the Public Service Company of New Hampshire that my land and cottage will be taken for the construction of a l
nuclear electric power plant. Understandably I as not at all pleased with l
this turn of events and apparently I have no choice in the matter.
The plant l
will actually be some 1500 to 2000 feet from my dwelling.

For the past 10 years I have been employed at the Fortsmouth Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, N. H. in the Nuclear Power Division of this $bipyard.
I am not i
a total sttanger in the field of Nuclear Power.
If existing regulations i
permit dependent wives and children to live at the $bipyard with several reactors in operation at one time, wouldn't these requirements and regulations also apply to a situation like mine.
Your earliest possible reply would be appreciated as it is important to myself and twelve other f amilies who also are losing their dwellings to this new power plant.
Self-addressed g enclosed.
Sincarely, l
