SUMMARY
- CONTAINMENT LINER C0ATING SYSTEM On February 4,1986, a meeting was held in Bethesda, Maryland between members of the NRC staff, Commonwealth Edison Company (the applicant),
Sargent and I. undy (the architect / engineer), and Carboline Company (paint coatings manufacturer). A list of the meeting attendees is given in.
The viewgraphs used during the presentation are given in.

The applicant, together with its architect / engineer and paint coatings manufacturer, gave a presentation covering modifications made to the safety-related containment liner coating system at Braidwood Station, Units 1 and 2.
During the presentation, Mr. J. Montle (Carboline Company) indicated that the footnote in the paint manufacturer's recomendations-for recoating operations should be interpreted as follows:
In order to maintain a 3 mils dry film thickness of the final paint coating, as much as 50% thinning of the paint may be necessary; use of lesser thinning ratios would not constitute a deviation from the paint manufacturer's recomendations as long as the final coating had a dry film thickness of 3 mils. Mr. J. Montle made a comitment to revise l
this footnote in order to incorporate the clarification as stated i
above. The staff requested that the applicant submit four test reports l
which were used to support their conclusion that the coating system as installed satisfies the ANSI 101.2 and ANSI 5.12 standards, including

the DBA testing requirement.
