- 2) ULNRC-3948 dated January 11,1999 Reference 1 transmitted an amendment request to revise Callaway Technical Specifications to use Electrosleeves to repair steam generator tubes.
Reference 2 transmitted, in part, revised wording to limit the use of Electrosleeves to 2 cycles. This transmittal provides changes to further clarify that their use is limited to 2 cycles following installation of the first Electrosleeve. Attached is a revised mark-up page (Insert to Insert A) from that transmitted by Reference 2.
This change has been reviewed and approved by the Callaway Onsite Review Committee. It does not alter the conclusion of the Significant Hazard Evaluation transmitted by Reference 1.
In addition, an identification sheet entitled " Exhibits A and B" is transmitted that makes the link between the proprietary information transmitted 1"
by Reference 2 and the Framatome Technologies, Inc. Affidavit, also transmitted by Reference 2.

The plugging or repair limit for the pressure boundary portion of Electrosleeves is determined to be 20% through wall of the nominal sleeve wall thickness (as determined by NDE). The 20% plugging or repair limit will apply to inner diameter pits in Regions B and C.
