,{, g NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION O p WASHINGTON. D. C. 20555

\ ..... # 2 8 JAN 1986 MEMORANDUM FOR: All Occupants of the Phillips Building FROM: Jesse Funches, Director Planning and Program Analysis Staff Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation

SUBJECT:

PHYSICAL MOVES WITHIN THE PHILLIPS BUILDING COMPLEX The purpose of this memorandum is to inform you of plans to implement Phase II of the NRR move which will affect employees located in the Phillips Building.

As mentioned in my memorandum of January 22, 1986, Phase II will begin at 4:00 p.m. on January 31 and continue throughout the weekend. For this reason, it is imperative that all boxes be packed, desks, bookcases, file cabinets and credenzas be emptied, and all trash be removed from offices at that time.

Please remember that even if you are not being relocated, the furniture in your office vill be standardized pursuant to my January 22 memorandum, so you must reduce your use of existing file cabinets and bookcases to meet these standards by Friday. Boxes that are to be moved should be closed using the box flaps, instead of tape.

All employees will move to the offices outlined in Mr. Denton's December 6,1985 memorandum except the employees listed in the Enclosure who will now move to the rooms listed as "new office".

One change has occurred since the issuance of my January 22 memorandum. No trash hampers will be put on the floors due to a contractual problem. Instead, trash should be put in individual waste baskets or put in cardboard boxes clearly marked " trash" to facilitate the pickup.

All Section, Branch and Division file cabinets must be emptied and packed in the brown moving boxes clearly labeled with their new destination. Any files not needed should be disposed of in accordance with instructions in my January 22 memorandum. To facilitate movement of furniture and boxes over the weekend, all employees are urged to stay out of the building during this time.

Any personal pictures, plants, paintings, etc. should be moved by you on Friday to your new location and then labelled with the new room number and a "do not move" sign. i On Monday morning you should report to your new work location and, if all  !

goes..as planned, all standardized furniture and equipment along with your boxes should be there. Priority will be given to standardizing furniture so if your boxes are not there Monday morning, they will arrive as soon as possible.thereafter.
