Joe, 10CFR2.201 provides requirements for responses to NOVs, orders, DFis etc. Yrsd specifies a res onse within 20 days or other specified time. The regions give 30 days for NOVs.

Is there a procedural requirement for a response within 30 days? I don't rnind specifying a response time, but there really isn't any rush associated with this item. IR

97-04 said what TVA was doing was technically adequate, and Unit 1 isn't going l

anywhere for awhile. I think 60 or 90 days would be OK under the circumstances.
