Any imernal correspondence, memorandams, e-m.nl and other information related to NRC staff technical es aluations related to NRC Inspection Report No 21,1997 and Unresolved Itern URI 50-259/97-04 01.30-259/97-04,50-260/97-04, and 50-296/97-04 dated I request a waiver of all fees for this ruquest. Disclosure of tlus mformation is ofinterest to the public and UCS beca it is likely to contribute significantly to public understanding of safety conditions at the Browns Ferry Unit I reactor.
l UCS is a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating nudear safety positions to the public. UCS will assist the l
public obtain information about safety conditions at the Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant through its newsletter (Nuc l
its Internet site (www.ucsusa.org) arid its press releases. The sequested information will not be used for comrnercial use I
by the requester, Pursuant to 5 U.S.C. Section 552 (a)(6)(E),I request that tina 10!A request be expedited. It is of the utmost impor that the NRC expedite this request to allow access to pertinent safety information in the decu : ents. UCS and the l
general public needs to review this information as soon as twaible in order to properly prepare for an upcoming informal public hearing regarding Browns Ferry Unit 1. Ihn informal public hearing was granted by the NRC staff l
following a request submitted by UCS in its 10 CFR Section 2.206 petition dated April 5,1998. It is in the interest of l
