SUBJECT:
EPRI REPORTS 03 TORNAD0 MISSILES The two EPRI reports on tornado missile research, whose revic.' is scheduled as part of Action Plan A-30, are still not available.
Current EPRI thinking is that they will be out in June.
In the interin, I ar.i distributing the two cnclosed documoots for staf f information. One is a draft report prepared for EPRI by sP' on the subject of maxinum r.:issi'c speeds. EPRI requests that it not be circu-lated outside the ilRC staff. The other is a pn.,cr presented by the authors of the as yet unreleased EPRI study on tornado missile risk.
While it does not offer ru:,h detail, its conclusions may be of interest.
Formal staff review in connection with Subtasks 2 and 3 of Task Action Plan A-33 will be requested when the reports become available.
