SUBJECT:

TRANSFER OF LEAD RESPONSIBILITY FOR GENERIC TASK ACTION PLAN A-38 As suggested by the enclosed memorandum from G. Arlotto, OSD, I request that the management responsibility for the Task Action Plan A-38, " Tornado Missiles," be transferred to RES. As part of this transfer of lead responsibility for TAP A-38, I request that L. Shao be assigned as the Lead Assistant Director and James F. Costello the Task Manager.

This request has been discussed with L. Shao of your staff.
