Dear Mr. Sorensen:
TBarnhart(4)
SUBJECT:
TERMINATION OF NRC REVIEW ON THREE LICENSE AMENDMENT APPLICATIONS (TACNOS. 56947, 60547, AND 64941)
This is to infom you that in accordance with your requests we terminated action on three WNP-2 license amendment applications.
If WPPSS would like NRC to consider them further, you must reapply.
On February 20, 1985 WPPSS requested (TAC 56947 Reference letter G02-85-093) an exemption to the reporting requirements for chlorine monitor tape depletion and spurious high delta flow. On October 6,1987 (Reference G02-87-258) WPPSS withdrew that request.
On January 17, 1986 WPPSSrequested(TAC 60547,ReferenceletterG02-86-080)an amendment to Section 4.6.4.1 of the WNP-2 Technical Specifications to change the surveillance frequency for suppression chamber-drywall vacuum breaker operability. On October 2,1987 (Reference G02-87-256) WPPSS withdrew that request.
On March 12, 1987 WPPSS requested (TAC 64941 Reference letter G02-87-0090) a deferral of the license requirement to implement a wide range suppression pool level monitoring system consistent with Regulatory Guide 1.97.
On June 15, 1987 WPPSS (Reference G02-87-0204) withdrew that request on the basis that the system was indeed implemented.
I will be happy to answer any question regarding our temination of these applications.
Sincerely, original signed by George W. Knighton, Director Project Directorate V Division of Reactor Projects - III, IV, V and Special Projects See next page gp/
