PRELIMINARY NOTIFICATION OF CATEGORY A TASK ACTION PLAN SCHEDULE AND SCOPE CHANGES 1
In our continuing effort to keep you infomed of the status of the Task Action Plans for which DSS has the Lead Resoonsibility, we are providing the following with relation to anticipatdd or known changes.
As soon as the change procedure is issued by the TASC we will initiate the necessary fomal requests.

October 3,1977 to at least an optimistic December 9,1977. In addition, j we are experiencing a problem with support review effort from the SEB ; '

1s estimated to result in an overall three month delay in the short tem program. There appears to be no way em can recover this loss in time. This slip will affect the completion date for the short tem program by at least three months.

TAP A Digital Casoputer Protection System Task 1 of the plan has been delayed fmm 1/1/78 to 4/1/78. This change will affect the other milestones by essentially the same interval.
Some make upamay be possible if the information to be provided from outside sources come in as originally scheduled. The basic reason for the delay is that Task 1 is the completion of the ANO-2 review of the Combustion Engineering system. This review is behind schedule due to the applicant not providing critical information on the schedule -
originally agreed to during the OL review.
TAP A-23 4tainment -teak -Testing Task I will be completed 11/16/77. Tasks 2, 3 and 4 cospletion will i slip approximately 7 weeks from those shown in the plan. This indicates -
that completion of the plan will now be 2/17/78. We can find no way to recover the time lost completing Task 1. The bases for these changes were discussed with the TASC and will be incorporated as per the Cosarittee's directive dated 11/8/77.
tap A Adequacy of Safety Related DC power Supplies The Task plan is being rescheduled. The proposed new schedule is currently in the concurrence chain of the participating Branches. We anticipate that the original completic.1 date of 5/15/78 will slip to anioptimistic date of 8/15/78. The bases for most of these changes were discussed with the TASC and will be incorporated as per the Committees directive dated 11/8/77.
TAP A Determination of Safety Relief Valve (SRV) pool Dynamic Loads and Temperature Limits for BWR Containments Tasks 1.b. 3.a. 3.b and 4.a are being delayed he to GE not providing information as originally scheduled due to problems with tw&ction of the test data. The resultant schedule slip will be tuo.to three months.
Tasks 2.a and 2.b uill be delayed by at least an estimated six months due to receiving data fram the Caorso test in Italy. Task 2.c will be delayed three months due to postponement of .the Monticello tests.
This information is controlled by the Mark I and Mark II owner's groups.
